foxBMS 2 at The BMS Alliance Webinar: Unleashing the Potential of Battery Data: Transforming Measurement Data into Strategic Insights for Battery and Battery System Optimization

The foxBMS development team at the Fraunhofer IISB showed how we gather battery system data in applications, how this data is processed, stored and made available further downstream in the development process to improve the next generation battery systems as part of the foxBMS 2 at The BMS Alliance Webinar series.

In today’s world, batteries are one of the driving forces behind enhancing applications. Their usage spans various domains. While the specific implementation details of the use cases may differ, one crucial aspect remains constant. It is the necessity to measure, store, and analyze battery data. This is essential to ensure safe and economically viable utilization.
We explore methods for capturing battery data. We also discuss how to seamlessly transfer this data to stakeholders throughout the value chain. Long-term storage of battery data for future projects is another important aspect.
We demonstrate how to derive valuable insights from this data. This is achieved through well-defined open interfaces. These interfaces pave the way for enhanced modeling and optimization of battery operating strategies.
